A big thank you goes out to Phil (philr) who was kind enough to donate this wonderful 1975 brochure to the Epehmera Library. This was quite interesting as I've never seen RCA washers made by Westinghouse, only GE in the 80s/90s, maybe these were only distributed in Canada? Not sure about that.

Also the TOL model was available in poppy red, gotta love that! Thank you again Phil.

Just a year or two before, the RCA appliances were Inglis clones. My aunt had a RCA branded dishwasher that looked just like an early 1970s Inglis/Whirlpool dishwasher with the big latch in the center of the control panel. The dishwasher was branded RCA with the modern font, not "RCA Whirlpool" like older machines were.

I have recently seen RCA Inglis clone washers/dryers for sale:

A few more RCA appliances. I'm not sure of their origins. The window in the door of the first range looks like those on some Westinghouse ranges (on the last picture).

From what I remember, my grandmother's Canadian RCA washing machine (late 70's or early 80's) behaved just like the Westinghouse in this video, including the fast agitation speed, no brake spin coast, and locking lid... don't remember if the tub indexed like this one does though. I also remember the timer having an extremely long rinse segment in the Permanent Press cycle, which must have included the cool down period.

Mine is a few steps up with the Weigh to Save lid and seperate agitation/spin speed.combinations. It has a much more powerful drainage and never has water overflowing during the spins. Before it hits top speed, the tub is empty. Not sure how many rpms it spins but,you can't wring any water out of the finished loads by hand.

One thing I clearly remember

about the Canadian Whirlpool/Inglis version of the RCA washers, was the incredible colour of that blue agitator.
It was unlike any other colour that has ever been used in an agitator and was simply stunning.
As for the Westinghouse made RCA's, I saw a few of them in the day, but never liked that washing system so it never impressed me in the least.
