Well the Kelvinator is completed, I ran six wash loads through it and it performed like a champ. I decided to re-engineer the fabric softener dispenser so it does not get all clogged and yucky again. I wanted to make sure it gets flushed with every rinse. So what I did was to take a new early 60’s Whirlpool Combo water valve and install it in the Kelvinator. The Whirlpool Combo water valve has a special nozzle and third solenoid to provide flushing water to its detergent dispenser.

So I wired the third solenoid directly into the fabric softener dispenser circuit and I ran a copper tube from the special nozzle all the way up into the dispenser and yay for clean dispensers!

I'm speechless!

Robert, you never cease to amaze me! All I can say is WOW!!!

I agree this is a video for sure!

new fill valve

So did you have to do any innovative engineering to get the valve to mount in the spot where the Kelvy's valve was? Extra hole drilling, bracketing?
