I was wondering if someone a while back mentioned about the GE Harmony Washer coming out sometime with a Window in the Lid. Has anyone heard any more about this? If so, when might they be going out to the Dealer's For Sale? Any other Color availability? I do like the Graphite Color on them, rather than the White {my personal liking}...

Re: Follow-Up:

I forgot to mention that the asking about the GE Harmony Washer's coming out with a Window in the Lid, was reminded by me, when I checked out the GE Brazil Site, seeing their GE Washer's with the Window's and actually the Washer's looking quite like the Harmony's here.

I agree also, what's happened about the newer GE Front-Loader's???

GE Profile FL

arrrooohhh:
I have the GE specs on the Profile FL if you are interested. I'm seriously considering the new Maytag Neptunes...but I'm going to wait for the GEs to be released in September.

new Harmony model as well as front loading GE sets comming o

I will be going to the KBIS in Las Vegas from 05/10 to 05/14/05 to go see all of the new products comming out.Included amung them will be the new GE front loading washer and matching dryer both with windows and both had been posted here a while ago.The new Harmony washer DOES have a full size window lid as well as a built in heater to boost the hot wash water and maintain its temperature during the wash program. They do not allow cameras but I will try (as I always have successfully done before)to sneek in with a few throw aways to get some neet shots of new products!I did notice that Lowes currently has the new Maytag Neptunell front loading washer and dryer on display now and they are quite impressive. They are nothing like the original (thank God!)and believe it or not they both have a huge see through window! I noticed the tumble arms are perferated and shaped like fish!!!! I was laughing my ass off when I noticed that!Lowes had them plugged in (both the washer and dryer)and I was able to turn them on and watch them perform. The washer was the lower end model that peeks up to 1100rpms and is a belt driven model.the model above that spins 1200rpms and is a direct drive model. The washer was unbelievably quiet and the spin direction is clockwise.the dryer has quite a powerful blower and once vented I am sure it too is extreamly quiet. They can not be stacked though which I think is a downer but maybe later on they'll introduce another set for that. They are in no position now to spend too much on anything.Their shares just plumitted downward to a dangerous amount. But that's another story.Laundromat

New Maytag Neptune Tumble Arms

Laundromat...
I'm SO jealous! I WISH I was going to KBIS!! Have fun!!

The Neptune's tumble arms are designed in that "fish" shape to move clothes from the back of the drum to the front...and hopefully avoid tangling because of the tilted drum. All the new machines with tilted drums have to have specially designed baffles to move the clothes from the back to the front for this reason.

I was hoping that the new GE FL would be true H-Axis...but a poster over on THS who was in GE's headquarters in Louisville, KY told me that its drum is also tilted. He saw a pair on demo and said they are going to be a great price for the quality (750 to 800), but they "weren't built like tanks"...more on par with the new square door Frigidaires and less like the new Maytags and LGs. But...then again, one does expect things to be better built if the price is higher.

Let us know what you think of the GE FLs at KBIS since they will be exhibiting.
