Hi! everyone, I was visiting a Woman Friend, {she is like another Mother to me} on Wednesday, February 1st and she told me about a couple of Super Bowl Sunday Party Recipe's that she was going to make. I thought that I would like to share them as well, with my wonderful Friends on the Club Site. I hope that you will enjoy them and maybe some other Members might also have some Recipe Ideas for Super Bowl Sunday Parties to share with us as well.

Super Bowl Sunday Party Recipe #1

Sausage-Stuffed French -or Italian Loaf Bread

Pre-Heat Oven to 400-degrees/F

If you can't find French Loaves, you can use Italian Loaves, they are wider Loaves of Bread.

Ingredients:

2-Fat Loaves of French -or- Italian Bread
8-oz Bulk Pork Sausage
8-oz Ground Chuck
1-Medium Sweet Yellow Onion, Diced
1-Egg
1-teaspoon Dijon Mustard
1/4-Cup Chopped Flat Leaf Parsley
1/4-teaspoon Fennel Seeds {optional, if you have it}
Salt & Pepper to taste
2-Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
2-Cloves Garlic, Chopped

Cut ends of Bread off and set aside for later use. Hollow out the insides, with you Fingers -or- a Serrated Knife. Place in Food Processor, with the Steel Blade, to make Coarse Crumbs.

Brown Sausage on Medium Heat, add Ground Chuck and Onion and Cook, until the Meat is lightly Browned.

Combine Bread Crumbs, Meat, Egg, Dijon Mustard, Parsley, Fennel Seeds and Salt & Pepper in a large Bowl.

Spoon Mixture into Bread Shells and attach ends with Small Skewers.

Melt Butter over Medium Heat and Stir-In Garlic, Saute' for 3-seconds, then Brush onto tops of Mixture in Bread Loaves.

Loosely wrap each Slice Sides of Bread in Aluminum Foil, leaving the Top Lightly Opened.

Bake 15-20 minutes, then Cut into approx 1-inch Slices, enjoy.

OK - here is my contribution:

Southern Sausage Dip

2-12 oz bulk rolls Jimmy Dean Sausage
1 - 8 ounce bar Philadelphia Cream Cheese at very soft room temperature
1- 10 ounce can diced tomatoes with green chiles, drained. (Ro-Tel Brand preferred, but any other brand will do)
1 cup shredded monterey jack cheese

Preheat oven to 350

In large skillet over medium high heat, brown sausage well making sure all is cooked. Drain in colander and blot with paper towels.

In a large bowl, stir together sausage, cream cheese and tomatoes and then spread in a regular 9 inch pie dish or 8x8 square baking dish. Top with shredded jack cheese and bake until cheese is melted and everything is bubbling. Serve with Fritos Scoops (Tostitos Scoops are fine also, but Fritos are sturdier)

The boys just lap this up!!!!

Here is a fast and easy recipe for all of you Radarangers out there:

CHILI-CHEESE DIP

1 can Hormel Chili w/o beans
1 lb. Velveeta, cubed

Put all ingredients in a microwave-safe bowl and nuke on high for 10-15 minutes, or until cheese is completely melted. Stir evry 5 minutes or so. Serve with Tostitos and enjoy.

And now the moment of truth

This is a moment that I and many other Northwesterners have waited for. We are only moments away from the kickoff, and the tensions here are so thick you could cut them with a knife. Best of luck to our guys, and may this be a good safe game, and may the best team win. I'm thrilled that our Seahawks have made it this far.

OK Now I'm Pissed.

It's halftime and the score is 3 to 7 Pittsburg's favor. Wait a minute, shouldn't the score be 9 or 10 to 7 Seattle's favor? Oh yeah, I forgot, Seattle was screwed out of a touchdown by the @#$%^&*! referee. Sing it Mick!

Re: Sorry to hear:

Hey! Seahawk Fans and everyone else as well. I'm sorry to hear the the Seahawk's didn't win, but I also heard that both Teams at least seemed to do their best however.

I'm not a Sports Fan, except mainly for the Olympics, but I do have my Favorite Teams and personal Picks too. Anyway, I was talking on the Phone to a Neighbor down the Street from where I live and he told me about the Game ending and that the Seahawk's hadn't Won. "Better Luck, Next Time" Guys...

Peace and Happy Memories of this {February 5, 2006} Super Bowl Sunday anyway, Steve
SactoTeddyBear...

Thank you STB. For now I'll just have to lick my wounds and move on. Somehow I still feel inspired by the Seattle Seahawks and their accomplishment. The hawks made it once, perhaps they can do it again. Thanks for the recipes, everyone, I'll try them sometime.
