According to the POD ad, Bendix is associated with South Bend, Indiana.

Is it a coincidence that BEND is the first four letters of BENDIX? (Likely if this has already been discussed recently, I missed it.)

South Bend is named after the bend in the St. Joseph river, which runs through the town. Just a coincidence that Vincent Bendix started his company here.
