acquisition...........whimisical Harvest Gold KitchenAid 4C. Worked quite nicely preparing thick pound cake batter with the all purpose beater. Well behaved mixer that minimizes the amount of flour that usually goes "airborne"!

Excuse the sideways pic, for some reason I can reposition the photo, yet it uploads wrong. Suggestions welcome.

I have one of these and the 45. I would use both of them side by side when making pound cakes. Identical recipes came out totally different. The batter in the 45 would be thick while from the 4 it was more liquid. The batters baked up the same. I bought the stainless steel bowl because I knew I would drop that heavy glass bowl.

I remember Julia Child using that model on her show.

When did they do away with the handle cut-out on the 4C?  I've never seen one without it.
