Summer is coming and with it the flies. Does anybody have a brand specific recommendation for an indoor fly zapper?

Home Depot and that squad only seem to carry out door units that drop the dead flies onto the ground  (they also explicitly say "out door only" and I'm worried about the UV intensity indoors).

I've seen ads for Black and Decker indoor units, but my experience with B&D home appliances is pretty poor, hence reluctance.

Thanks,

Bill

You won’t find any indoor bug zappers, because doing that is a risk for human health.
When bug zappers zap a bug, it creates an explosion of bug guts that sprays everywhere around the zapper, spreading any bacteria/viruses they are carrying with it.

For indoors, you really want a trap. But be careful there too, as anything you use as a bait could lure even more outside bugs into your house...

I have noticed some sort of what I think are bug killers/zappers in some store deli's and meat departments. They have a soft blue light and some grid work recessed on them. They are mounted on a flat wall and have a curved surface on the inside. The look to be either mirrored or shinny stainless steel. Maybe look those up on line and see what is available for home use. Just a thought.

Hi Bud, thanks for your pointless answer.

Thanks Bud, for your unfriendly, unkind and unhelpful answer. If you had read my post, you should have realized that I did in fact perform internet searches which were giving unsatisfactory answers.

I have found that many on this board have insights into housewares and appliances that I don't have, and they share those insights when asked.

Sarcasm I can get anywhere.

Do you have a Harbor Freight nearby,

Bill?

A year or so back, Harbor Freight had a device that looked a bit like an oversized flyswatter, but it had a battery powered circuit that allegedly killed unwanted insects.

I only go to Harbor Freight when i have a spare two hours, and no more than 50.00 (and no plastic!) in my wallet.
