Washer was built the 10th week of 2010 and dryer the 13th week. I replaced a lot of the temperature/water level sensor switches on these washers.
A direct-drive with automatic water level sensing.
Both 2008 models, 2010 serials.

These were the last hurrah for full-size direct drive washers. They also made some blue ones. It’s too bad. They didn’t choose a better color. It was just a little too much.
There were a number of problems with these machines as Melvin mentioned they weren’t that greater performer overall the new VMW had their own problems to be sure but they work the bugs out of those and now the current whirlpool top loaders would be better than this 2009 2010 Series Direct Dr. machine in my opinion, they just couldn’t get the spin speed up fast enough on the direct drive to make it a competitive washer the motor used way too much electricity in the direct drive washers as well.

The direct drives I always found to not spin out all that much water out, used my aunt’s direct drive years and and my stuff still felt like it had quite a bit of moisture left in it. Never had a problem with the spin speed on any of my Maytags with the 618 rpm spin speed.
