Hello the trouble that struck is that the freezer compartment works but the refrigerator compartment don't.as seen in the pictures its an amana any help would be greatly appreciated.

2011, mine did that. It had built up ice and blocked the air vent from the freezer to the refer side. I thought it was a defrost problem, but after turning the whole thing off and making sure to check for ice build up in the freezer it "fixed itself" and has never been a problem. I believe the original issue was someone leaving the freezer slightly open and the humidity overwelmed the defrost set up.

We have that exact fridge but with the Maytag emblem on it. It had that exact issue once and it turned out to be the cheap Chinese evaporator fan motor died, after only two years too! I replaced it with another cheap Chinese one designed slightly different and it has lasted 7 years since. Only takes about 20 minutes to get the back panel off, replace the motor and get it back together.
Do you still hear the evaporator fan running inside the fridge? The only other thing I could think of is its frozen over and not defrosting...

A friend of mine has one like this but it's branded as Kenmore, also has defrost problems. The heater and hi limit thermostat are good and it takes months before the evaporator ices up but when it does, the air flow stops getting to the refrigerator...
I'm pretty sure that the problem in his is the Jazz board (which often fails) but they are rather expensive here and can't be returned if the problem is caused by something else. I don't quite understand how these work.

I'd say it's pretty rare these days for a fridge to need new gaskets, that would be the last thing I'd look at. Of course if you see obvious damage that could be the problem, but odds are it's a bad fan, or frozen damper.
2011, oddly enough mine did it twice also. But after the second time I made sure, using a hair dryer, that the back wall of the freezer was actually slightly warm to make sure all the ice was gone and no problems since. Something else you can try; in the back left corner of the refer area there should be a drain hole (take the veg drawer out) pour some very hot water in it. It will melt any ice that is built up there.
Also, check the drain hole to see if anything else besides ice is clogging it. A number of years ago a glacier developed at the bottom of our SxS freezer section. It turned out that a rogue frozen pea had plugged the drain hole.

Per cuffs' advice in the post above mine, the drain hole is behind the crisper in the fridge section. I'm not familiar with your model, so why there's a drain in the fridge, I don't know. All fridges I've ever owned have had the evaporator at bottom rear in the freezer section, and drain directly below.
I'm sure there's an exploded view of your fridge's interior and mechanical components on line somewhere if literature that came with your fridge doesn't provide one. That should help you zero in on where the drain is located.
