Refurbished GE Filter Flo

I think its kinda pricey at $300. What do you guys think? I'd like to buy one...

I don't know what the used market is like in your area, but that is a bunch of money for that machine. The good side of that particular ff is that this machine is from before the outer tub rust problems found in the 90's.

I wouldn't pay more than $150 for this machine. GE Filter-Flo machines are not that rare. I paid $100 for mine.

What are the potions on the switches?

Is this a standard capacity, 1-speed machine?
I can't read the switches too good but what I could make out, I think they are;
Top switch:
SMALL MEDIUM LARGE
Bottom switch:
HOT WARM COLD

If I am correct, I think $300 is WAAAAY too much for a 1-speed, standard capacity machine. I paid $150 or $175 for my 2-speed, large capacity, Maytag 806/808 set.

I think it's too much money for that machine, even rebuilt, there were no interior shots also. Even though I love Filter-Flo's I'd be skittish about it, you'd still have the years on it.

Very pricey, about $200 more than I would feel comfortable paying.

On the other hand, I've seen this situation a lot lately. Used W/D prices on CL in my area are way up the past few years. Whereas, before nice condition machines, sometimes matching sets, could be found for around $100 or less sometimes.

Now "asking" prices commonly start at $250 and up, granted one can try haggling but from much higher starting point. Often, the price is so high I don't even bother, not worth the time and effort to drive Lord knows where and try to get the price down to earth.

Not sure how this happened as new appliance prices have not risen that much in the same time period.

While $300 may seem to be high priced, it is fairly close to you. You may find one elsewhere for say $100, but it will cost you $400 to ship it. Offer them $150 and see if they'll split the difference.

If you're really a true Filter-Flo enthusiast, get a MB model!

Especially if you're likely to wash (& even wear) delicate, mini-basket-washable garments/materials...

$300 For A Used Filter-Flow Washer

Could be a bargain or a waste of money, if it has had the inner wash tub pulled and inspected for rust in the outer tub and its in great shape and machine comes with a one year P&L warranty backed by a reputable company its a bargain, on the other hand if it is merely a repaired machine with no warranty and you basically are just taking your chances I would just buy a used working washer from Craig's-List etc for $50-150.
