Anyone have an idea on where to find a repair manual for LW3505 Washer? The tub is spinning as it agitates. It was ok for smaller loads to leave it but you cannot wash on Extra Large because it overflows and leaks water.

I messed up the model

Sorry about this. The tag is in a weird spot on the side of the unit.

Model LW3503W
Serial R9403066494

Thanks

Question

I found a non working washer on CL. They want 25 for it, it leaks. Would a LW7503W be comperable to use the part out of?

You are correct, better to replace the brake pads

One other thing, When on XL setting it overflows, do you think that this is due to the spinning during agitation? Also, during spin it stops on larger loads due to off balance, do think that this is due to the spinning during agitation that leaves the load off sided? I am sure it all comes down to the brakes which is an inexpensive fix. Any idea of the difficulty level in fixing brake? Thanx for all the help.

Spinning during agitation will certainly cause the load to be off balance. Also with a full tub of water and spinning during agitation will cause the water to pool up to the holes in the outer tub that attach the tub clips. Brake pads aren't too difficult to do; if yours has a belt driven pump, you need to remove the motor to get better access to the 3 brake pads. The one in the back is the hardest to do.

Brake Pads

The pump sits directly below the motor. I was planning to tackle it one pad at a time, undo the bolts pull out the pad and replace. The one in the back agreed, will be the hardest to do.

Removing the motor/pump assy will make the job much easier. Just replacing the front 2 might cause them to wear faster, if the back one is not replaced as well. While you're at it, replace the belt...they chew through them too.

If you find one that leaks...

I lucked out on mine--it doesn't leak. From what I've heard by other members who have tackled these machines, if you do find one on Craigslist with the caveat "has small leak, should be easy to fix", run screaming in the opposite direction. The center seal assembly is neither easy nor fun to replace.
