Including suds control for Mike. <: It is on the far right side. The small knob.

Mike do you recall the strange opening lid? It looks as if it would open to the back, however it has extra large hinges that open it to the left side.

Rick:

"Not only that Sandy, thats a HELL of a testimonial for a Multimatic!"

And then there's the added historic value; those were made by the Frigidaire Division of General Horse & Buggy.

.

Inside the water tub. I was able to use the Multimatic support, but had to have a part machined for it to fit the Rollermatic. The hole was too large for the Rollermatic transmition.

I also had to peen the water tub out from the bottom to gain enough space for the motor. I later coated the peened area (chipped porcelain) on the inside of the tub with 50 year silicon, to protect the areas from forming rust. I also increased the length of the spin shaft housing slightly, to "split the difference"

There must have been some kind of a "kit" to make these conversions. Obviously, I don't have the "kit" so we make it fit. <:

lid

Rickr, in your first picture, it looks as if the lid would open "back" because of the slot at the front of the lid. I see the hinges at the side. Was this only on this model of frigidaire? I have not noticed that before thanks alr2903
