Help Support :

Andy just went at the shop and no, there wasn't any kind of shampoo containing eggs or silimar to the one you describe, actually when I mentioned shampoo with egg the employee looked at me as it was a pranky question .......think she did not know the
virtue of amino acids and reconstructive qualities that are found in certain components of the eggs as long for the existence of shampoos with eggs components....
Anyway nothing there,I think now shampoo with eggs is a just thing you just have to go to search in erboristic shops and or natural shops, now most of the shampoos I think are made with chemical obtained aminoacids and nurishing ingredients etc and replaced the use of eggs components.....
Hope all this was helpful Andy, if you have any questions more no prob just email me....
Let's back to Rinso.

Freddy I have looked for it in Memphis and cannot find it.E-mail me I am going to send you something.Hope to hear from you soon Carl

Back in the 50's & 60's it was easier to find shampoo's with egg as an ingredient around here. It seems that fell out of use in the early 70's. Several different brands has "with Egg" on the front label of the bottle.

Allen,

The one I remember is Suave with 2% egg. My sister had to have it! We always had breck "N" for normanl hair, but they also offered O of course oily and D for dry. Do any of you remember when Breck came out with their line of conditioners? They offered a conditioner much larer that came in pastel colors. Helene Curtis made Breck (I think) and I can't remember who made Suave. I can Google that.

Yep Allen...same in Italy....same everywhere I guess

Allen, as said I think eggs in nurishing shampoo were used everywhere in those years, I found out that in italy till the early 70s as well then anymore....they were more common in 50s and 60s you know I think in "lack" of "chemical-lab obtained" or "syntethized" nurishing ingredients.......
I've read that some people use to make pure egg wraps on their hair.....not everyone would though ....but actually eggs are real effective for hairs and this was known since always, I guess shampoo makers preferred to find alternative solutions that were thought working better than eggs.....actually eggs are still considered from some a very effective way for good hair here explained the eggs wraps some people do, not everyone would drop a yolk on his head though, LOL.
I think shampoos with eggs components like in the past should be reconsidered, cheap to make but valued and amazing at work! As for the many things that today's world has eliminate and or changed to "worse" shampoos with eggs would be one.....this is my thought....

Freddy:

We went to the dollar store and all we found was a bunch of Rinso in the blue box as shown in the photo above. It's the one with the bleach alternative.

So I have two boxes for you. Just pay for the shipping. These are rather small boxes and they were only $1.00(USD) each.

Please send me your shipping info via an internal message here on aw.org and I'll immediately ship these two boxes to you.

Thank you Andy!
Please look if you have the lemon version of it or the fresh scent (red pack) I'm about getting 2 blue version boxes from Allen that kindly offered to send to me....
Actually I'm also interested in particular/local detergents, when I was in Maine I used to go at a store called Reny's that had every kind of stuff produced in ME and or New England and even detergents and I used to buy some local detergents "Made in Maine" one came in a small grey plastic bottle and used to clean very well, and also I used an amazing powder one and both were 1$ each....

Usually in dollar stores they use to carry local stuff also, what are the brand typical of your dollar stores?
In all dollar stores I've visited in ME (Dollar tree) they had: Sun, La's awesome, 101 detergent...along with the liquid in the grey bottle and powders found at Reny's...
What are the brands sold in your areas?

Freddy,

I saw Sun yesterday at the Dollar Tree. I have also seen it in our major grocery stores. As for local products, I haven't seen anything like that. I use Sear brand unscented for HE machines. It's the best detergent I have ever used. It's not cheap initially, but I have had this box since Febraury. This is my second box of it. It really cleans and is not hard on fabric.

Sear for Rinso.....

Freddy,

I was in Family Dollar and did not see Rinso. Are you sure it is still offered here in the US because I haven't seem it for a while. I will keep looking though!!!
