Back in the early 70's I flew him on a charter from New Orleans to Atlanta. He kept us cracked up the entire flight. In person he was a very nice and very polite gentleman. He will be missed.
Does anyone know what happened to him to cause him to die?
I also consider him to be very insightful, and he pulled no punches when commenting on things like religion.
It seems some of us (me, for instance) have reached the age where all our cultural touchstones are passing on. I guess this only makes sense; I'm 49, after all. Many of my heroes were a good 20 years older than me.
