i am one happy little dishwasher collector today. robert told me to call larry at modern parts house in parma ohio. i looked it up on the web last nite and just called. indeed larry answered! and he was very nice and very helpful!
he asked me how many impellers i wanted, i was in shock! that means he has a bunch! i told him one for now and asked how may he had. "A LOT" was his answer.
SO IF ANYONE ELSE OUT THERE HAS AN IMPELLER MACHINE AND WANTS A SPARE IMPELLER OR REPLACEMENT LARRY HAS THEM, THEY ARE 40 BUCKS EACH! HIS NUMBER IS 216-661-6966.
and it gets even better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i then asked about parts for my stubborn g.e. moibile maid that i posted a thread on last nite. HE HAS A MOTOR! HE HAS A LOWER IMPELLER AND SEAL! he does not have an upper impeller and told me they were long gone! BUT HE SAYS HE KNOWS SOMEONE WHO MIGHT HAVE ONE FOR ME!
so my next day off (next tues) i am driving to parma ohio to see larry and pick up the above mentioned parts! i have that kd-18 in akron if i want it and i might swing by and grab it on the way back.
ROBERT YOU ARE A TRUE GOD SEND!!! I WOULD HAVE NEVER THOUGHT IN A MILLION YEARS I WOULD FIND A PARTS HOUSE HERE IN OHIO THAT COULD SUPPLY ME WITH BOTH AN IMPELLER AND MOBILE MAID MOTOR, IMPELLER, AND SEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THIS SITE IS BEYOND AWESOME! and as i mentioned in an earlier post i am truly convinced i have 3 dishwasher angels looking down on me and helping me! my mother (who knew how much i loved washers and working on them as a kid) and my aunt and uncle who raised me after mom died and always encouraged me to do so! we used to go to the dump and bring back dishwashers for me to tinker with in the backyard! my uncle bought me my first old dishwasher (a hotpoint) to work on in the summer of 1968. i dedicate all my good luck in finding these machines and parts for them to mary and jess and my mom! and to this great site and the guys on it here!
