I am amazed...

that I watched varity shows as a kid. Except for the sketches on The Carol Burnette Show, I have no urge to revisit cr@p like this ever again.

Funny, I guess you forget the bad stuff and remember the good!

Crap???

this video is too outrageous to be crap. too *out there*. too GAY! how Hudson was in the closet AND did suff like this *duet*, i dont know.

I'm really suprised that something so "pro-drug" got on TV. I don't think it would happen these days. It definitely not politically correct.

The song is from some musical (I can't remember which one) and I thought it was kind of fun, in a campy sort of way. The conceit of the number - that this was a discussion they held throughout the course of an date - was sort of funny. It would sure make for a long evening ;-)

I miss the old variety show stuff. The modern equivalent (American Idol and such) is too screechy and over-produced. Say whay you will about Bea and Rock, but at least they could sing. No synthizer fill-ins or redubs for them.

Autopsy

I recently read, that in a civil dispute, Rock Hudson's body was exhumed for an autopsy.

It was concluded that Rack did not die of AIDS.

Test prove he actually had died of food poisoning.

It turns out he had eaten some bad weanies.

Kelly

And Bea Arthur just looks embalmed.

I once saw Bea Arthur at a some sort of raunchy celebrity roast on cable - probably Comedy Channel. Some very tasteless remarks were made about her really being a man, having relations with a woman or having male equipment or something similarly offensive. The camera panned to her face, and she had a look of absolute disgust on it. After that I had more respect for her. She didn't deserve that kind of treatment.
