Saw a 70.54 oz bag @ Kmart today. It listed for 3.99 and I was tempted to get it but when I looked at the dosage, it said ONE cup per load!

Has anyone used this stuff?

I gave it a whirl once. Still have a big bag of it, must be at least 10 years old.

It's very high sudsing, as I recall, but has STPP init. At least my 10 year old bag does.

As for the dosage, it's not an ultra, probably has plenty of sodium sulfate filler init. This is not a big deal; more of a concern is the high sudsing vs. HE washers.

If you use a traditional top loader, you may be pleased with its performance. If it still has phosphates, that is.

I used a smaller bag and might or might not buy it again. It seemed to clean ok, but while it had a nice scent in the bag, the clothes came out smelling like nothing. Very high sudsing, even in our hard, hard water (drop a glass of water, the water breaks and the glass bounces), and it didn't last long (obviously not at 1c per load). I guess worth the money but nothing spectacular.

I bought a "sample" 2 pound bag from WalMart-havent tried it yet.Using my other powders first so they don't go "stale" in my climate. The WalMart here has it in huge 10 and 20 pound bags.So if you like it--there you go.I saw on another thread-believe the one about pods-some Applianceville members stored their powders in glass kitchen "canister" type jars instead of the box or bag the detergent originally came in.The jars would allow it to keep better-you can seal it closed better than the box or bag.I am using my Areil bag up first. Its sort of so-so.Can't jump head over heals over it.
