Ronson Dial Blender

They were made by the same Ronson Corp that also made the cigarette lighters.
The small appliances were sold in N.America mostly in the 1960's and the company more or less went out of business by the very early 70's although the Ronson name was sold to others and is still in use mainly in Australia they are not the same company anymore. The benders are excellent, they have a wide wide bottom and very long blades so they crush ice like no other. The only problem you might find is that the gasket that seals the bottom of the jar to the jars base can eventually leak so be very careful with it.. no bleach, no dishwasher etc. Replacement gaskets/seals are hard to find.

Very interesting. I haven't seen that model before. Did it come with any attachments other than the jar?

I've never seen that model before either, what a BUTCH looking blender!
Years ago I'd found a Ronson "Cook & Serve" Blender at a junk store, it seemed to work ok but weighed a ton and made as much noise as a 747 screaming down a runway for takeoff!
A very heavy duty machine though, I bet you could puree bricks with that thing!

I have the Cook'n Stir blender. It's probably the most powerful blender ever made and like you say weighs a ton. I don't use it a lot but bring it out occasionally and cook some soup in it.
No other attachments....
but it did come with 2 extra carafes...and as it says on the front of the machine, the motor is whisper quiet. The man I purchased this from said he had 2 other machines like this that he "burned up" chopping ice...when he sent them back (the last one with a not so nice letter) he received 6 months later this machine. He said he was unable to burn the motor up on this one and he believed it was custom made for him...LOL

I did not photograph it but it does comes with the whitish core in the middle of the carafe which has an opening/closing core within it...much like my vita mixer to add ice or food during processing.
I am an avid ebayer so this machine caught my eye as one of the better built machines! Here is a picture of the mammoth blades...

what the hell is a *PM* motor?
Permanent magnet DC-These motors are all around us-they are a DC motor with a permanent magent "feild"The armature is similar to what is in a "universal" brush type motor-Perm mag motors have brushes like universal ones.Perm mag motors run on DC only--The line voltage has to be rectified to allow the motor to run.They are also used in battery powered appliances-Lets see --these motors are used in cordless power tools,some corded tools-large floor polishers,electric lawnmowers,corded and cordless,some kitchen appliances-the Ronson Blender could have one.These motors combine the advantages of both universal and AC induction motors.also your treadmill could have one.And some of the newer washers have the PM motors.These motors can be controlled electronically for speed and torque.
