Ryne, indeed it could be described as a lemon, and I started to send it back. However, with the ordeal of taking time off from work, and scheduling service calls, I opted to have this one repaired, rather than take a chance of another lemon. I failed to mention, I had to have a 2nd service call shortly thereafter, as the earlier technician failed to reassemble the tub correctly in place. Since I began working in the appliance department at Home Depot, I have found that it's not uncommon to deliver a washer that's DOA.
