I went to the Goodwill clearence store friday and they had just cleared everything out. There were no appliances anywhere. My neighbor, Cheryl , and I were out and about and she decided to pull in to the GW and see what was up afer I had already told her about their clean up. We both went in and she went left as I went right and litteraly walked into a Royal model # 995 upright vacuum next to a Hoover model# F5892-900 upright steam cleaner with all the atachments!! I had been searching for one of the Hoovers and was ready to fork over $259 to Sears for a new one. At the GW clearance store, all vacuum/floor care products are $9 ea.No matter the condition or age.I am assuming these floor care products are coming from a service center. The Royal works great and had 2 extra belts(just like the Kirby I found there a couple weeks ago)and the plastic tool to pull the belts onto the pully! The only thing I found was the missing round metal name plate that covers the belt and pully area. The only thing wrong with the Hoover is the hose coming out of the base is cut and even thow it works great, the hand held upholstry cleaner does not spray the fluid out and needs replacement.I emaled Hoover and this particular one was NOT regestered and is a current model. That means I can regester it and get it repaired free of charge.I do not know the age of the Royal but it is in emaculate condition and the chrome glistens!I used the Hoover and cleaned not only my own entire set of wall to wall carpet but also went and showed Cheryl how and she did her entire apartment too.We used WiskHE and some (1/8C.Clorox Splashless HE) chlorine bleach to boost it.WHAT A GREAT MACHINE!! I had one years ago in Altamonte Springs and used it every 3 months to keep the fleas away and maintain the floors.I tried to plost this on V'land but am still not abel to figure out why I have such a problem geting in there.I also grabbed a vacuum cleaner cover shaped like a black and white cow holding a sign saying "milk"She was $.50!!So she now covers the Hoover Steam Machine.

Chuck, sounds like you found two great deals!! Try going to the vacuumland site, then click on contact the web-master and tell Fred what the problem is. I am sure he can help. You have to be registered and select a pass word. Hope this helps. If you have any problems get back to me. I would be more than happy to help you. Terry

Thanks Terry!

I just don't know why but today after going to the Houston Food Bank to load one of the churchas moving vans with groceries for people in need,I again stopped in to the GW Clearance store and found ANOTHER STEAM VAC!!!This one is similar but green instead of blue and looks a year older. It too rocks!!I only had $4 in bills and a couple $100 bills. The cashier said to just give her the $4!!!! Yipee!!!Now I hhave twins!!Maybe I need to pass around a few business cards and make some serious money doing carpe cleaning ! LOL!BTW, This is model#F5883-900.
