My older Hoover bag less vacuum has been a true champ. A U8140-900 WindTunnel Dual V. Actually, it still is BUT I was getting tired of the dirt container (actually a removable container that was half dirt catcher and half cleanable paper filter) being a mess to empty and dirt restricting airflow long before the container needed emptying. Still, that WindTunnel widepath does a mean job.

I've been eyeing the cyclonic bag less systems for a while. Still bagless but better suction for a longer period of time. Nice to empty dirt container. The whole nine yards. Many years ago, I used to service many makes of vacuum cleaners and saw the best and the worst. About that time, the Phantom bagless cyclonic was the big thing but I was not impressed repair wise. I have my three Labs and three cats to boot. Fur is a obvious constant issue. This actually was what was plaguing my current WindTunnel. The Dyson looked interesting but the cost was a bit dicey without actually having had the chance to try one out plus the hit or miss reviews. The Eureka Pet series also looked interesting. Sorry guys, but the Bissel and such have never impressed me. I've used all sorts of Kirby's in my years and liked them but are heavy and cumbersome to use plus the God awful pricetag! So, I went back to my roots.

I have always been a Hoover man. For me, my Hoovers have always been very reliable and never a serious breakdown. I bid welcome to my newest Hoover, the UH72600 Wind Tunnel 3 High Performance bagless upright. One of Hoover's latest "rug suckers". Feels well built, the dirt container is easier and cleaner to empty, rolls very nicely across various floor types and has such good suction, my next door neighbor's front door gets sucked open when I turn it on. Noise level is acceptable for the job being done and I really like the pet oriented tools for dealing with fur, etc. plus a five year warranty. Time will tell how she holds up but I haven't had a Hoover crap out on me yet!
