rust in my 55 Kenmore dishwasher

Hey fellas,

Today I noticed a little rust forming around the drain in the 1955 Kenmore. What's the best way to repair it? Thanks!

Doesn't look too bad.

Maybe a little BarKeepers Freind will get it off. Not a repair, but may keep it from getting worse.

While not too bad and I can use the bar keepers friend to clean it, is there any recommendations for something food safe to put on it to keep it from rusting more?

Will, you can try this............

There are a number of porcelain repair kits available on Amazon. It is a brush on epoxy in the correct color that you can polish to a shine. Make sure you clean the area good first.
