Hello everyone! I have not been around for awhile I took an appliance vacation.
I also have found a new partner which i have been getting to know well, and it is going great thank goodness. I also have lost an animal which was a bit much for me,but feeling much better now.

I have been checking in and seeing some wounderful things going on,
I want to say all the birthdays that i missed Happy belated Birthday to the members and Congratulations on the fantastic machines that the members have gotton recently.
Robert your an amazing person to keep the site up with new tools and all the updated formats thanks for all of your efforts and energy for this great site.

That being said i was working on the Kenmore and two other washers which you will see in the coming weeks hopefully if things work out.
Mr Ed who is a great repair man, got interested in my fever for washers and came over about a mounth ago and helped me with the restoration on the Kenmore.

Robert at the wash in October said to me...
That YOU CANT PUT LIPSTICK ON A PIG LOL
Soo me and Mr Ed got under the skirt and replaced the belt and oiled some parts,
the main drive pully ,and he put some turbine oil on the bearings.
Which I beleave Gordon advacated in a thread some time ago.
Mr Ed also made me do a belt on a old whirlpool I have which have to be parted out.
Wow it was pretty good to a point until that tricky AGITATE CAM BAR LOL but i did it yaaa.
Still need more practice.

So I'm so excited about it i took some videos i put up several days ago.
And the have some questions about minor things.

1. So far seems like the machine is in good cosmetic shape as far as the paint job, just a little small rust spots on the right side but the rest is very good.

2. I need a dial.
Talked to Jhon Lefever on that dial he maybe have one in his stash.
Or anyone have any idea's, it's the brain of the machine can be a pain when using other cycles.

3. Minor but would like to have a clear detergent cup cap.

4. Only thing left to do is the tub cap which need to be cleaned and take minerals off and touch up with white paint where the small rust dents are.
There very small.

5. Never used C the prewash option, and never used the suds saver so dont no if it works or not sure if it is nessary as of now.
Any Suggestions is apprciated.

6. And defenitly new lighting.
Ok here she is in a testing position and cleaned up.

1964 LKM WASHER

Hi Darren its great to see you back, I am so glad to see that you got the 64LKM running, it will help inspire me to do my 64 TLKM theres just nothing like the performace of these machines. As you may seen I recently finished my MT CA900 washer and it is very smoth running but its performace is just avarage. When you see a machine like yours running it is easy to see why KM & WP had almost 1/2 the laundry market in the US and KM had greater customer loyalty and more repeat buyers than any other brand including GE WH, Norge or even MT.

But I will make a search for the timer dial you need, talk to you soon John.

Yay Darren, welcome back.  I was wondering where you have been, glad to hear everything is ok.

Ugh, that Turquoise '64 LK washer is gorgeous!
