Today in 1995 Elizabeth Montgomery (Mrs. Darrin Stephens on "Bewitched", passed away.

It's hard to believe it was that long ago. She was a fine
actress. Does anybody remember when she played Lizzie Borden?

Lizzie Borden, that was pretty hokey, but she did a good job, and I didn't once think of her as Samantha Stevens!

Mrs. Sundance

Elizabeth also did a TV movie called Mrs. Sundance. Evidently the Sundance Kid had a wife. Also starred Robert Foxworth who eventually became Elizabeth's long time love. Of course Robert's nude scene wading in the creek stands out in my mind. I don't know why! LOL!!!

Miss. Montgomery though best known for "Bewitched", like many fine actresses/actors did great work in both film and other venues.

Remember seeing "Lizze Borden" on television, and thought it was pretty good. IIRC there was a scene where the tyrant of a father was going to force the family to eat lamb (stew?) that had clearly gone off. And who could forget him climbing up into the bird loft with a hatchet to kill all the birds.

Would love to see one of those "investigative reports" people do an examination of the evidence against Lizze Borden using today's methods. IIRC after Lizze was aquited no one else was charged and the case was pretty much given up.

good thing she wasnt around to see Nicole Kidmans horrific version of Bewitched. me and a coupla friends were soo pumped up to see it. about 45 mins into the movie we all realised it wasnt going to *get good*. is the new poseidon (?) adventure just as horrible?

I find that the original version of a movie is much better than the re-make.
