Is there any difference between the Finish and own brand rinse aids?

I use Aldi's
....and not a great deal if any in my opinion.
In fact, I'd be hard pressed to tell you the last time I used anything other than Aldi dishwasher products...As for their rinse aid, I've not changed the settings on this dishwasher since we bought the house 3 years ago and it's never had a main branded product in it.
Give them a go and see is all I can suggest. Leave the dosage as is and see. If you're not happy, increase it a notch at a time and use for a week between changes. At the very worst, you'll end up turning the dosage up until it's gone and then you can go back to Finish if you see the need.
