We just purchased a new Samsung FL with Power Foam--I don't see that this option is working. We are using HE powder and we're getting no foam whatsoever?

What detergents work best with this new machine.
Does it only work on a specific cycle?

We're ready to take this back to the dealer.

Any feedback would be helpful

Thanks

That's just a useless marketing gimmick.

Be glad that the machine doesn't overflow with suds!

Plus many suds also equal a difficult rinsing (a thing that Samsung, along the other asian manufacturers, never mastered!)

Too much suds is no good anyway

But the bubble generator might be damaged in your case. You maybe just call for service...

No Foam

Hi Rick. I have the same machine which was delivered on July 5, 2013.

I really like the machine. If you use an HE detergent you will see very little foam. However, Tide HE will show some.
Now.....If you shine a flash light in the window when it is filling you will see how quick the washer wets the clothes. The machine does an excellent job.

Howver, I would like more water and I am thinking of tweaking it. YouTube shows how it is done.

If you have any other questions, please ask.

The Stain Away Cycle give about a 1 minute spray rinse.

For Best Results..

When Using the "PowerFoam" Fuction, one can experience lots of Foam, and Suds, when half a cup of Ultra Dawn is used. Please note however, you may experience poor rinsing performance when using this special feature.

This is normal. Modern HE Top Loading & Front Loading washers manufactured after the Date of 2011 with Energy Star Standards, are not designed to rinse clothing, and detergent out completely, however, better results can be found by using a fabric softener (such as Downy, or Snuggle).

One may experience, even better rinsing performance, by just using enough HE detergent, to make the water slippery. This will result in very good cleaning, and little to no suds for the machine to rinse out, leaving your clothes much cleaner & softer.

Or, you could just live with clothes covered in Detergent Residue... It's your Choice :)
