Samsung machine with warm rinse

So I used the towels program for the first time on my Samsung Q1235S today.By default is 60 degrees C wash and 3 rinses and 1200 spin.

To my surprise, it heats to 40 degree C 1st rinse on this program. I've not come across another UK front loader that does this. Anyone else have an FL machine in the UK that does a warm rinse? I know warm rinses are more common in the USA.

This is my favourite machine I've owned as daily driver. It performs faultlessly and cleans and rinses so well. It's also built like a tank and the program options are very flexible.

Te detergent on top is Ecos liquid by the way.

I know my mums LG has a selectable Medic Rinse where it heats the final rinse water to 40*C. That's a nice Samsung they were popular over here for a time. I remember them being very noisy on spin.

Hey Matt, this is very quiet it's a brushless motor so just hums, the only noise really is from it filling up or if the load is a bit out of balance you get some noises from the suspension.

I love my Samsung and love the funky styling yours has, mine doesn't do a warm rinse on any of the cycles, and Ive pretty much used them all lol

Curtains

Curtain wash is the only one left I've yet to use. The programs are very different on this machine unlike a lot of washers that just alter wash times and temp, this machine has different operations for each program. The power jet operates in different ways some programs have distribution and jet during the wash and some have just tumbling and the jet on and off at various times. Some programs use the cold fill spray jet some don't and some have the cold fill jet come on during rinse spins and some don't.

All adds up to a very interesting machine and one I have not got bored with. I certainly find that 2 rinses are all that's needed as the water jet sprays as the machine is slowing down from spin and that really seems to rinse very well negating the need for more deep rinses.

There is only one video I've seen on you tube of this washer doing it's spray distribution so I may do some vids soon of it's various actions.

First of I've got to say what a lovely machine you have. We considered this very machine when we got our Hotpoint Aquarius WMA58. Never knew it did a heated rinse and had a powerjet!

I have an LG steam F1479FDS5, you can select medic rinse where it does a 40oc final rinse. Look forward to the videos

Hi Dyson2drums, yes this actually has two jets. One is a cold water filling jet that comes on on certain programs to soak clothes and aid in rinsing, plus the powerjet crosses it's path and this comes on at various times through the wash only.

Also the machine has a large box inside where at the start of the wash water is pumped up into this box to mix the detergent. It does this by switching the powerjet on for a few seconds but off again before it actually reaches the jet. It does this a few times before then continuing onto full powerjet. It's a weird noise when it does this but it works well.

Heated last rinse: a thing of the past...

Hi Zodawash, in answer to your question, the last heated rinse was available throughout Europe (and I believe the UK) in the late 80's with the Candy Domino 4x4 front loading washing machine: this featured the so-called 'Thermospin' at the end of the cycle as the clothes were warm from the last heated rinse (40 degrees).

Maybe this feature was already available even earlier on machines from other manufactures too... that said, the first that comes to mind is the washer above-mentioned.
