Greg:

P & G make Ultra Downy Free & Sensitive liquid, and Target have a house brand of unscented dryer sheets. Googling "unscented fabric softener" will also bring up a lot of "natural" brands from other companies I'm not familiar with.

P&G "Tide" unscented, or any brand of by Ecover as the scent rapidly goes away once items are dried.

Had a coupon for a free (any size) bottle of Downy, and like a fool grabbed the largest on the shelf. A tiny amount of "April Fresh" added to the rinse of a very large washer, still lingered when items went into the dryer, after coming out and airing overnight, scent is all but gone. Still wished one had purchased scent free, and may go back to the shop and exchange.

Laundress:

I still remember your bout with the Tide Roses & Lillies detergent. Everything the fabric touched after being washed in the stuff picked up the scent. Has your ironing board cover recoved itself?

Thank you for asking

That huge, and nearly full bottle of Tide now resides happily in the home of a local laundromat attendant.

Senora is very nice when one runs in half hour before closing to use the huge dryer, so thought it would make a nice gift.

Gave it away after using some in the Whirlpool portable and found one still didn't like the scent. Mind you when used as it should have been, that is in a top loading washer, the scent wasn't nearly as over powering, however it still lingered over everything damp laundry touched, from the ironing table to the mangle, so in the end it had to go.

Funny you should mention, was just at the laundromat on Friday, using the dryers and asked Senora how she liked the detergent. Reply was the loved it and her children ADORED the scent. In fact while saying this she beamed in the way mothers do when feeling happy about their housekeeping skills being noticed.

So that's me for you.
