In my coarse of collecting typewriters I came across at least 20 different versions of the same bodied typewriter. al of them with different names and colors some manual and some electric. they were all scm machines that were from the same era. my first one was a later model scm called the deville electric. it worked for about three days and after that the keys wouldn't move. My friend has an old coronet machine that Ive had my eye on for yrs. his family used to use it to write the bills for their music store eons ago. anyway these scm machines which I am thinking are from the 60s and early 70s mainly were portables. the names were galaxy, electra, coronet, and such many more names with the same body type. the colors were great. the turquoise was my favorite. does anyone know the history of these and why there was so many variations on the same body. thanks Bill
