Thank you to Martin (Yogitunes) for sending me this Sunbeam Mixer that he grabbed from an 1800 Victorian home/funeral parlour that is going to be demolished. The mixer was in one of the pantries, purchased from a store that closed in 1980. The house has been sitting for 10-15 years, fully furnished but untouched. Martin grabbed himself a washer and dryer but I'll let him tell you about that :-)

The mixer was delivered today. Here are pics of the unboxing. Included was the instruction manual, recipe book, and plastic covers for the bowls.

Gary

Oh WOW Gary....didn't even know covers for the bowls were an option....how cool it that?

yeah, this home built in the 1800's, residence on one half and upper levels, funeral parlor on the other....prep room in basement, which also odd as the casket had to be lowered back into the basement, and exit the other side of the house onto a horse and buggy...a bunch of zigzagging rooms and servants quarters....

as Gary mentioned, in one of the pantries off the kitchen I found this Mixmaster still sealed in the box...the label showed it was purchased from a local store, Two Guys Dept store, which closed down in 1980....just one of those things where someone buys an appliance, and it sits unused, could have been a gift, unknown, but still to be un-touched in all this time...

I mentioned to Paul/turquoisedude of the ALL Turquoise kitchen...and the appliances that were there....dont know why the pics post upside down...

I grabbed a FilterFlo set, from 1985, this was in the residence part.....

will be grabbing another FilterFlo set, from 1970's, with the big door dryer later on....

for what ever reason the lady only lets me have access during certain days and times....dont know what the deal is with that....finding help within those time frames not always easy...

these pics load fine, until I select post, then they turn sideways on me....first time that has happened to me....

there is a lot of furniture still in the house.....as the new funeral parlor was built years ago, they just walked away from this one, and left as is.....

there is a beautiful MCM bedroom set I would love to have, which is heavy, and not something I want to carry down 3 flights of stairs...even if it is for FREE...

those A/C's alone were a beast to get down one flight of stairs as it was....

Great finds!

Love that Mixmaster! I have an older version.
When we got our own house, I had to have the same mixer that I grew up with.
Martin;
That place sounds like a grown-up toy store!
