searching on the web for an old picture that was a washer my grandmother had during my childhood

Hello to all aw members,

i do not know if members here can help me retrace that kind of picture for a washer but i am searching for pictures of an old inglis liberator washer it was a 3 cycle model push to start pull to stop no water level water temp knob on the right of the timer knob it was a brush lint filter model speakle wash tub inside and had this particuar agitator inside like in the kenmore washer

What years are you talking? 60's 70's ?

i do not know the excat year must of been a 1959 1960 model since it was a dial skirt and on the cycle dial it had a super soak cycle i wish i could have more info but sadly i do not since its hard to retrace from memory

Our 1966 Inglis Liberator...

I wonder if it was the same model that we had, purchased in 1966. My mom insisted on a suds-saver model, even though it was bottom-of-the-line. Only two knobs like you say - the control knob and the temperature selection knob. Ours did not have a lint filter.

I've never seen once since my father tooks ours to the dump in the early '80s. Can't remember what went wrong with it, but the repairman convinced my mother that the expense of fixing it wasn't worth it compared to buying an entirely new machine. My mother regretted that decision for years; she loved that machine and subsequent automatics she got never performed like her Liberator! Being belt-driven, it had a generous "arc" to the agitation - probably in excess of 180 degrees, which resulted in excellent turn-over.

BTW, your comments and photo in a previous thread (Reply # 18)shows the exact same agitator ours had (straight vane, Bakelite).

it resemble that model but was diffrent

it close but it was not a lighted control panel the agitator was like the kenmore washer like thisit was a brush filter like thisbut the agitator inside was like this particular agitator was like this 5 wash rinse temp knob must be from 1955 if i make an estimation base from my memorybut on the left it said inglis liberator as the brand clear non lighted timer dial 3 cycles like this dialbut where you see the water level was the temp knob with the temp cold cold warm warm warm cold hot warm and hot cold no water level

Your last photo is unmistakably a Whirlpool sourced washer without a self cleaning filter.

yes it was a non selfclean filter i am basing myself from my memory
