Hi guys
I’m having problems searching this site when entering key words into the search bar.
When doing so with my iPhone, it kicks me over to my google app and I’m unable to keep my search here.
I’m high tech challenged
Any suggestions

.
Stan

Stan, I rarely use this site's app on my phone (I hate dealing with a miniature screen as much as I do using apps in general due to their security issues in addition to their random and unruly behaviors) but the on line version has a search field that's "enhanced by Google" and it will indeed migrate you over to Google.  How this field renders in the app I don't know, but it may not be as easy to distinguish it from the option to "Search the Forum."  Since you don't have an upgraded membership, I don't know if the "Super Searchalator Search" option (the only one I use) even displays for you.

Hi Stan.  I'm glad you mentioned this, as I've been experiencing the same thing for the last 3 months or so.  I can no longer use the search box on my iPhone browser, as pressing "search" always opens the Google app.  This happens both with Safari and Chrome.  iPhone 13 Pro running iOS 18.1.1.

It works fine on my MacBook.  The "Super Searchalator Search" still works on my phone.

For me, it doesn't work on my iPad any longer either.  In both cases, it opens the Google app and presents me with the Google app's homepage.  Even if I access AW on the Google app, surprisingly the same thing happens when I use the search function -- it simply takes me back to the Google app's homepage.

However it does work fine on my husband's iPads and his iPhone, probably because he doesn't have the Google app installed.

So, what I've just this minute done to fix it is the delete the Google app.  Now the AW search function is working fine again in both Chrome and Safari.  I've almost never used the Google app anyway, so it's no loss.

Yeah, this is something that I’ve gripped with for a

Long time, I found that I have to grapple with the super search thing, I just wish that there’s something that told it “hey always open tab, don’t use Google app”, With me I like using the Google app because it’s handy when I need it but it’s a nuisance when it comes to AW, I’m not blaming either thing, I’m just blaming of how they’re interacting which is probably just something that was something that accidentally happened

It would be nice To figure out why it does this,

And hopefully uniMatic, Our website Lord and saviour, sees this
