Saved for the time being

Sears has been given a reprieve. They will keep 425 stores open for now. Said to close three per month for the next few years. Hard to see how they can keep appliances in stock with so few stores. Of course Whirlpool quit supplying their brands a while ago. Many analysts say it is only a matter of time. I think the employees will be relieved and can have a few more months or years of pay.

I have no doubt this whole demise was plotted and managed by Lambert to enrich Lambert.  So many bad decisions that anyone with a fraction of a brain could see were going to be disastrous. I'm sure he has his sights set on what ever pension plan money is still there, that is the last thing of any value that he can rip away from the rightful owners.

There should be a special place in hell for him and his ilk...

The Sears store in my area is becoming a desert-The appliance salesman was trying to help a customer to buy a washer-the custormer not sure he wants to buy the LG FL machine. The salesman spouts out that the DD motor is the best.Next in the tool section-nobody there-abandoned.In the outdoor power equipment section the salesman was playing basketball with one of those small basketball machines where you throw the ball into the basket-the machine keeps the score and return the ball to you-like those in amusement parks. He asked if I needed a mower-said---"That's alrright-don't want to interrupt your game".Then went to Dicks sport goods just behind the Sears place-same thing no cars in the parking lot other than mine and the employees.Same with sears. The parking lot was a desert!
Now went to the enxt outdoor mall and Hobby Lobby and Academey Sports doing well many shoppers in both.Same with Dunham Sports.
Instead of entertainment goods the Sears place was try to sell beds and matteresses. No one trying them out and no salesman. The buzzards are flying overhead-think Dicks could be next after Sears. They have been taking a hit since Dunham and Academy moved into town here.
