Sears Canada has recently announced their new extended warranty program which does sound like an improvement over past practices.
The new program goes like this;
I'll use $200 as the cost for example.
When you purchase a $200 extended warranty on any major appliance / tv etc and don't end up using the warranty Sears will give you a $200 credit towards the purchase of any new appliance/tv that is at least twice the price of the credit..in this example $400 or more.
Not too shabby I think, at least it isn't a total loss
