Does anyone remember all the various Sears Craftsman electric Weedwacker string trimmers over the years?
For example, in 1981 this was the lineup of electric Weedwackers they had:
9-7981 - most basic, 10" cut, green
9-7982 - step up, 12" cut, orange, with bail handle
9-7983 - heavy duty, 16" cut, yellow, with deluxe bail handle
9-7984 - like 9-7983 but with two speed motor (low "Power Miser" speed being suitable to smaller areas to reduce electricity costs), 17" cut, red
These four trimmers were all made by the Paramount Division of Allegretti & Company of Chatsworth, California which, after being acquired by White Consolidated Industries in 1991, wound up being folded into the Beaird-Poulan subsidiary that had for years made most of the gasoline Weedwackers for Sears.
