This is my favorite time of year. I get to put away the Vernado heater and humidifier and get out the old GE fan. I just filled the oil cups and I'm running it in on "high".

My Mom gave me a nice old fern stand to place my fan on. It goes well with the other furniture in my bedroom.

That's a beautiful old GE fan.

My only seasonal switch-over involves bath linens. The Sam's Club towels go to the back of the closet, and the Sears towels move to the fore. The Sears towels (which I bought on a clearance sale a number of years ago) don't get quite as stiff/scratchy when line-dried; so they are my "summer" towels.

I'm in the process of letting this last tank of water run down in my old West Bend Water Wheeler humidifier, and then I'll clean it up and pack it away until next heating season.  Mine has the polyester belt that wraps around the wheel.  I'll wash it in the washer and then rinse it in clear water before machine drying it.  This humidifier was a freebie at a garage sale a couple of years ago.  The price tag on the box says it originally was $129.00.  Runs like a champ.

GE fans

i have a GE fan much like the one in first post though mine is a little newer-i recon 1925-30,and the blades are aluminum though the spider is brass.
