Yes this is the correct forum!
My 10 year used washing machine developed a fault this week! but trust me this is the correct forum, its been in use for 10 years since i moved in to my first home, but up till then it had not been connected since its manufacture in 1965.
As most of you may know i bought it from a house where it had stood in a pantry since being delivered in the 60's
Its been in use since then for about 3-4 loads a week and in those 10 years its only needed new belts and this week the timer stopped ticking.
It has always been a little tempremental sometimes when starting it wont tick around but normally stopping it and turning the dial 360 degrees but then off it goes and works fine, but this week it wouldnt go and running it through the cycle manually didnt work well as it missed the spins.
So i took apart to see if there was a problem with the timer motor
here are some pictures
