Hey, kids! It's time for the

<CENTER>Fourth Annual Automatic Washer Secret Santa!</CENTER>

It's been a blast for all who participated in the past, so give a thought to signing up this year.

For those new to the concept, here are the basics: You submit your name and receive someone else's name in return. You are then the Secret Santa for that person. Your assignment? To come up with a clever and/or creative and/or appropriate gift for that person.

"But wait," you say. "Who gets my name?"

I'm not going to tell you! If your Secret Santa wants to reveal him/herself, that's fine. If he/she wants to remain secret, that's okay, too! (Truth be told, 99.9% of the participants reveal their identities. It's all part of the fun!)

"Sounds interesting," you say, "but isn't it expensive?"

No! There's a $20 limit on the gift, meaning it'll cost more in creativity than cash.

"But I'm not creative!" you say.

Geez, quit whining! Along with your name, you will receive some hints from your person. In addition, Big Daddy Santa (that's me) can step in and do a little creative prying.

"Okay, I'm in!"

'Bout time. Here's what to do:

Send your

<LI>Email address</LI>
<LI>Mailing address (where you'd like your gift sent)</LI>
<LI>Any helpful hints for your Secret Santa*</LI>

to [email protected] by Wednesday, November 5.

As soon as all the names are in, I will assign people randomly. This should give people enough time to send off their packages in time to arrive for Christmas.

Don't wait! This offer is for a limited time only! Act now!

*Examples of helpful hints:
I wear a size M t-shirt.
I can't eat nuts. <font size =1> Heh heh. I said "nuts."</font>
I like vintage detergent.
I collect Precious Moments figurines and handguns.

Well,

what I really want is a Pank Unimatic.
But I'd settle for anything vintage, my gifts last year were just exactly right! The neighborhood kids still haven't returned my slinky, tho...I can only play with it when I'm at their house!

The girls in the Secret Santa offices are hard at work tabulating all the names; better get yours in before Miriam's hair deflates!

Last day, everyone!

Once the girls cover their typewriters for the day, that's it! There's no budget for overtime here at Secret Santa Co., because I invested a good chunk of payroll to hire Don here to look after things.

I think it was a wise investment, don't you?
