It looks like you add it with your detergent? I cant find anything on usage. Last softener that you could add with your detergent was Rain Barrel and that was years ago. Plus one thing it says is that the scent lasts for a month...really?!? I cant imagine.

I will buy some it just looks cool. Wonder how to use it in a front loader since it is not a liquid. Also how much would you use in a front loader unit. They need to add more info on this item to there site.

The thought of being able to smell

a laundry product for more than a day or so after a washing/drying cycle is extremely unappealing to me!  This is one product that I won't be buying.  Ever.

I want the scent gone in a few days.

I read about this technology recently, its a crystal structure that attaches to clothing and it slowly releases the applied scent over time.

Can you imagine vanilla and lavender mixing with your AXE for days on end??

Overhere in the Netherlands we have Silan crystals. There is a small container that you put on top of the laundry in the main wash. Apparently it works the same as detergent with built in softener. A friend of mine tried it, he hated it with a passion.

From the illustration I saw on the back of the bottle, the crystals are added right inside the drum with the clothes on a front loader

Oh this is really interesting!
And it's also quite logical because DIAL is now a Henkel company. The same product was launched by Henkel in Italy in October 2008.
I've tried it and it leaves a very strong perfume, but if you like it it's not bad.
At least in the front loaders. I don't know how it performes in a top loader.

I just had a look at the stuff at Walmart....all it is is Salt, bentonite (clay) and fragrance and colorant. Thats it. And its added to the wash cycle. The blue bottle doesnt smell bad but the others can we say PU. Would I buy it ?..No. Plus there was no price and the price scanner couldnt bring one up either. I left it there.

I love to try new products, but I've sworn off fabric softener; nor do I want my clothes to be scented for a month, so I'll let someone else in the club be the first-adopter for this product.

It reminds me of when I bought the Oxi-Clean Detergent Ball back in '06 or '07. It made absolutely no suds what-so-ever (which is what prompted me to try it in the first place) and it was good at getting out stains like wine, Kool-Aid, etc. Unfortunately, it failed miserably at removing plain old dirt or any stain that involved grease.  

I think it's fun to try these "radical" new products, simply because they're probably not going to be on the market very long----I'm talking to you, Purex 3-in-1 Sheets!

That OxyClean ball was doomed anyways. To me a product that stays in the washer right thru the rinse cycle cant be good. I like a good clear rinse when I do laundry that way I know all the soap is gone..and in my washer its usually the 2nd rinse that is my last rinse that I add the softener. That way it doesnt have to compete with leftover detergent from the wash cycle. But thats the way I see it. And how it is with my washer.

That's my advice!
I bought it when it came out in 2006 or 2007...

If its the same stuff as "Vernel Cristalli" by Henkel (and it appears to be) the stench (yes, like a rotting piece of lard with a liberal amount of cheap cologne) will hunt your clothes for at least 3 (three!) wash and dry cycles! And it doesn't soften anything a little bit!

Purex

Well, I am currently enjoying a bottle of Purex Mountain Breeze Fabric Softener.  It smells nice and is a lot cheaper than the comparable Downey.

Oh so Henkel tries to crystallize the United States now. Funny

We also have the Vernel Crystals in Germany. Many people say that they are disappointed with them as you have to use a lot of crystals to get a nice fragrance and they are VERY expensive. So I hold the same opinion as dj-gabriele: It is not worth buying it
