Selling My Westinghouse Open Handle Iron

I really wanted to like this iron. It looks sooo cool. After I tried a few more time, I decided that even though the amount of steam produced is sufficient for most ironing, I just dont like this iron. I have small hands, and prefer a slimmer handle, like on a Proctor Silex, so I'm offering this baby for sale. Here ya go..

I also have some vintage handmade lace trimmed pillowcases in another auction right now, If anyone is interested. They are beautiful, but I would never use them, and after 60 years in a linen cabinet, it's time they were at least displayed.

Need thin my collection down as well. Just cannot be bothered with fleaPay ATM.

One rather likes our Westinghouse open handle dry iron. Today many steam irons sold for use in commercial laundries/dry cleaners have the same open handle design. IIRC many other vintage irons such as those by GE and Sunbeam also had open handles.

Actually I like that the handle is open, but its the thickness of the handle that was a problem for me. I like a thin handle I can grip better.

As for ebay, its full of frustrations, but I far prefer it to a yard sale and dealing with a front lawn full of crazy people wanting to offer you a quarter for something marked 2 dollars.
