SERVIS 303S

Could anyone help me who's got an instruction book on the Servis Compact series Autowashers that would know what programmes the Economy option button works on. It does reduce the temp 95 down to 60 deg but i would love to know if it also reduces the wash temperatures on the other wash programmes.

Paul, i hope you don't mind me using one of your classic pics.

Classic User Manual

Craig,

When I get home, I'll scan some pics, Dan Keetley gave me an old Servis booklet, when I collected the 308 drum from him, for Philip.

Economy...

Hi Craig, hope the compact is all sorted and working, can you look at reply "37" is that an adhesive sticker for the spin mode?

Economy Switch:
When the switch is in the "ECONOMY" position, the main wash action will start immediately providing the water temperature is above 40

It basically uses your hot water for programmes 1,2,4 and 5 etc and then doesnt use the built in heater!! -

Economy button & Control panel

Thanks for that Mike i was expecting it to work like "lets say" a Hotpoint 95 series machine that cuts the heater off from the word go. If i select programme 1 & 2 that fills with hot water only, the heater does come on but just for a short time but i guess this is to do with the thermostat catching up to 40 even though the hot water that has filled the tub is at almost 60. Hope it makes sense what i'm trying to say.

I only wish it was an adhesive sticker but it is not. The brown plastic has come off at some point, luckily the number wordings are still there. This is the only thing that needs putting right but i need to think of how to do it correctly, apart from than that it is in perfect looking & working condition.

Hi craig.

Endeavour to find an enamel paint match - will be difficult, but worth a try - then to draw a white line to '0' and a fawn line to '6&7'. Now that will be a steady hand for you! :-)

Still brings a smile to my face, knowing that there is another Compact Servis preserved.

Steady hand

As being a bit of a perfectionist Paul i like things to look as they should be. I am tempted to peel off a bit of the exact colour brown plastic from the plinth & transfer it back onto the control panel. I will post a picture of my handy work when i am happy with the final result.

Eco

Hi Craig, understand, the thermostat HAS to register 40d, to energise the override to ECONOMY, so yes the heater circuit may engage for a time..

Well, for a broken piece it looks a perfect symetry, like a graduated spin, the outer control sheath did have a habit of catching when it was worn, check the tension on the con rod and adjust the screw (back of the fascia) otherwise it will keep catching!!

Manual scans

CJ

Are you any closer to scanning the instruction book, sorry to be a pain but it would be just great to see it.

Craig
