Quartz Resurrection

Darren,

I'm sure you'll correct me on the button labelling! Correction would be good, then I can change them to what they really are/should be. What model number was your Quartz Darren?

Just finished an MS Paint created resurrect of your Servis Quartz AutoWasher, both in cloud grey & choco brown.

The blue is an attempt to show an inner water level!

1st - cloud grey

Hi
Just been looking at the pic of the quartz and is it just the way the pic has been took or is there no holes in the drum or are there not as many as other models.

I did have the matching dryer years ago and got rid of it and regretted it ever since. loved the digital display on it. the fluff filter was a bit strange it was a peice of plastic you pulled out of the top and just wiped it.. great machine though

Holes in the drum

No that's right they don't have any, instead they have a groove at the front and rear of the drum which the water drains out of.

It's meant to be more gentle on clothing, without compromising on spin results.

It was the closest thing you could get to Miele's Homeycomb drum in the 80s!

Servis Drum

If memory serves me well I believe that the drum was shaped so that water flowed to the front and back edges where the slots were for drainage and I think that the old Servis twintub spin drier was of similar build IE no holes except top and bottom ! Maybe someone with an old Servis Twinny would be so kind as to prove me right or wrong:)
