Decided on a Mazda 5 or a Mazda MPV... Like both, with my preferance to the 5, but the MPV is more affordable

Any one own one?? It fits everything i need without being too big or small and can haul decently large things and mid to larger size men

I have a 2010 Mazda 5 Grand Touring and absolutely love it.  Very easy for me to get in and out of and good visibility.  Has quite a bit of pep too.

I've owned one Mazda and won't own another, however one of our neighbors has a 2004 MPV and loves it. Might also be worth looking at a Toyota Prius V (the larger of the Prius models), it should be about the same size as the Mazda 5, but with much, much better fuel economy. If I remember right, in the low to mid 40's mpg. I have a 2004 Prius (standard model) and absolutely love it. Can get 50 mpg if I drive carefully, and has plenty of pep. Toyota are known for their reliability, and I can't fault them for it so far. Mine has nearly 180,000 miles and still runs and drives like a brand new car. I've owned it a couple months now and haven't had to do anything but add gas (and very little at that!)

I can't sadly afford a Prius V... Im a cash only person (I don't have a credit card, i own my home, my cars, my life.. I only buy if i have cash on hand)...

Im at the $7000 tops mark.... Unless i find something i can't say no too... Then ill see what i can sell off LOL

So far the couple I've driven I've loved... Even though they where kinda thrashed, i still liked em

I know right... im bad with credit cards and remembering to pay stuff... I admit i've made mistakes and its just easier.. Although renting a car is just hell... I may have to break down and get a $500 for that purpose...

I have a sears card and its always paid off after charging ot... Once sears goes, it goes....

After the debts i've paid off, im happy to live with a 8 to 10 year old car

LOL, Sorry Im rambling

So i have found a few, including 2 2012 6 speeds.... For under $8000.00... One has 83K and is in Ohio..... One is in PA.... The thirs 2012 is in LA and has 114K

I have choices... Now time to bargin and buy

If you see this, whats the biggest thing you put in your 5?

I have seen a few MPVs and Mazda5 around but never all that many over the years. I do think they are pretty cool cars though, it's a shame they stopped making the 5. I do know someone with a 5, they bought it a few years ago, but I never heard them say much about it. I guess it's doing fine.

Personally, I was thinking about buying a van and was interested in one of the last jellybean Town and Country Limiteds, liked the Stow and Go idea, but I was a little leery of them for some reason and never went further.

In the works

I like the Jelly bean chryslers, but there just too darn big

I made contact with the dealer in Harrisburg PA and we are working out a deal now...

Not that i wanted to drive across the us for a car, but considering I am getting it for almost trade in value and the salesman seems very easy going is a plus

Wish me luck!

My dad's wheelchair fit in it very well.  Also my walker.  (Not at the same time though lol. )  I think a dishwasher might fit in it on its side. I love the sliding passenger doors on both sides.

Im excited.. Now to pray it all works out.. Have friends in PA who will pick me up and get me there, go and see my friends parents in Detroit, and then stay with friends in denver.... My friend in Des Moines hasn't answered me back..

Hoping for just one night in a hotel... Hoping i can find a few tresures as well

I just traded off my 07 Mazda 3 last year. It was a great car and didn't give me any problems. The only thing that ever failed was a couple of years ago the drivers side power window switch needed replacing, that was it.  Routine replacements like tires and brake pads, oil changes,, that was it.  Never let me down.  It also never developed any interior and annoying little rattles that can drive you nuts,, well me anyways.

Honda Element?

The Mazda 5 looks to have much in common with my Honda Element (spare car, my trusty old Volvo is still #1).

I love my Element. It never breaks down, it's very adaptable, and I like the way it rides and handles. 5-speed transmissions are rare but they do exist (I have one, with AWD to boot!). The fuel economy isn't wonderful, but I don't drive too much either.

Just another option.

Sure,

the Element is the boxy utility vehicle from Honda. It's great! It has rubber floor mats, so you can open both side doors, and hose it out if it gets full of sand, etc.

Anti Honda

I have a thing against Honda's... We've had several civics in the family and none of them have done well.. In fact one was a victim to the weak engine blocks in the 2006 models and Honda did nothing to help up, even though it had 34k miles.... Also i have a friend with an element and he's had nothing but trouble with it..Also I want 4 actual doors...

Given the transmission issues from there past (and how well they didn't handle them(, how the newer Acura have fared and some other things (including the Takata Air Bag Recall), I would be hard pushed to get a Honda...

Hyundai should make something like this... The Kia soul is just a tad to small... I wish the Ford Cmax was cheaper...

The Harrisburg fan fell thorough..SOld it right as i was getting the money together... Manager felt bad and apologized
