Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Ooooh.  That looks an awful lot like the machine I got back in the early 70's from the old couple across the street when they moved .

Yes you can.

There are places all around the country that specialize in restoring vintage auto trim, including dashboard trim. Any one of them should be able to handle a job like that. Here's one right here in this link. They used to be located just a few miles from my place, but I waited too long and they moved. I need to have the control panel for my DG701 reworked due to pitting.

too much excitement isn't healthy - someone will have to borrow it soon, to restore your health. :p
...restored, you might need to review your health insurance...

congrats!

JC, no, I didn't have it for long.  It had a small leak somewhere and it was long before this site and the worldwide web existed, in the early 70's.  It worked fine though.  It ended up with one of my mom's co-workers who didn't own a washing machine but had a service porch that would accommodate one.  I put it on a couple of 2 x 4's to raise it up and told her to put a pan under it.  She was thrilled to have it and used it that way until she moved some years later.
