Shake Away pads for HE FL washers

Does anyone in this club use or have used Kellett Shake AwayEVibration Isolation Pads on your HE front loading washers?

We have a Whirlpool Duet HT washer that continues to vibrate a little during the spins. It doesn't walk but does vibrate some.

I found them on the internet and of course the testimonials they give on their web site is that no one can live without them.

Sounds a little bit of a "too good to be true" item. I included a link for them at Lowes.

I'd like to see your thoughts on them before I put $30.00 towards buying a set.

I was thinking the same thing. But wait! Does this mean I will be the test rat here? I already know how to travel thru a maze. I drive in Atlanta traffic everyday.

My wife accuses me of wanting to try every new little gadget that comes out. My maternal grandfather was the same way except he was worse. My wife is leaving town for a few days next weekend and I think I will try them then. If you here of a man dying from a washing machine falling on himself in North GA it will probaly be me. I will get my buddy down the street to help me.

I think you shouldn´t use it.

At least at the Electrolux Group, when we develop a new washer, we MUST do and we really do everything possible and use all technologies available to reduce noises and vibrations.
It means thousands of tests simulating virtually all situations possible to happen in household use.

We use some kind of cushion pads in all models. Even more in the HE american models or the european smaller FLs, because of higher spin speeds.

There´s nothing else to enhance, at least today.

About Affinity or Insight model family, some people think the balance delay before spin is awful and unnecessary. They're wrong! both washers will spin only if the load is perfectly balanced. and this will help a lot to reduce vibrations.
But of course, in one or other load, depending on it´s weight and form, it can randomly become unbalanced after the spin begins and the washer a little bit more noiser, but the user must have good sense and understand this is not a problem with the washer or a missing component in it, it´s just the case of that spin cycle .

I strongly recommend you to use only original replacement parts and accessories.

I don´t know about other manufacturers but I´m almost sure they think the same or they would be out of the market.
Who wants to buy a washer that climps stairs and run across the street or looks like a huge vibrating dildo every time it spins?

Your are correct! The vibrations are minimal even at the highest spin speeds. The only time I notice vibrations is when I am standing directly in front of the machine.

Once again I really appreciate the advice and information all the way from Brazil!

This is the reason I like to check with the people in Applianceville to get their opinions and experiences.

So if you "feel" the vibration only when you stand in front of the machine, maybe it´s the noise impact.
huge washers like Duet, or Affinity got this "almost irrelevant" issues and there´s no way to avoid it.

It´s like when you´re in a disco club and stand right in front of the speakers.
You must have in mind the forces involved in a high speed and wide drum spin. These forces are amazing. If you transform it in a straight line insteal of a circle, it can be compared to a truck crashing into a concrete pole at 100 Mph
