Anyone have a shipping company they would recommend other than UShip?

Have had most success with U-Ship. Few shippers were flakey, but they're no longer with U-Ship so guess they got sorted.

Tried C&F the once, they're good but cost is like taking out a mortgage.

Are you seeking to bring something to NY or send from?

The one time I had a machine shipped (Colorado to Illinois) I used U-Ship. Was about $300 and I was able to plan out much in advance with the shipper. If I was to do it again, I would probably go the same route.

If you don't have a certain time frame would suggest keep listing with U-Ship. Sometimes two or three weeks after initial listing someone good comes along.

Maddening thing about U-Ship of course is you have to catch someone coming through NY to fetch or deliver.
