I was wondering what methods of shipping you guys used when aquiring machines from >500 miles or so. There is a prospect that I'm looking at, but I have no idea what channels to go through or what companies would be preferable. Also, if anyone would have any insight on what a "reasonable" price should be, that would be very helpful.

Thanks

there is also a man

named jim hill who has moved two machines for me and came highly praised by other members here. his e mail is [email protected] and his phone no. is 231-215-1067 or 231-767-9477. he has a truck with a trailor and he goes all over the country moving items for people. his prices are very competitive with "u crate it" who i also used once and liked! hope that helps!

the seller end?

all the seller has to do is be there if jim picks it up, he has a dolly ofcourse and his truck has a long ramp making for easy entrance.

if u crate it gets it they demand that the seller be the one to strap down the item to the bottom side of their collapsable crates they use. it sounds complicated but it is not. i watched this process when they delivered for me. it gets put on a plastic bottom sheet, a couple of tie down straps are hooked in place and the seller merely tightens them up for liability sake. then the sides and top snap into place! presty, it's done!
