I was going into town and it is this time of year where the Gay community starts there reach out and starts there events which will last after june i was here a couple
of months ago and thought i would take you guy's with me to phila again.

Well i went to Williams Way our community center which has all kinds of events and services as well as relaxation and reading , and PC's you can use.
This event is dated about a month or so ago i went in and saw our city's time line
and Gay history in Philadelphia.
So travel with me to some of the photos i took along the way.
This place has been special to me and a place where you can get support and the events are great sometimes, been here for over a decade now.

Thanx for the tour, Darren

Funny how one little thing can bring back memories.

As a child of the 50's in NJ, my radio listening at night sometimes brought in WIBG-AM from Philly. (Wibbigeland). Your mention of Chestnut Hill immediately reminded me of their phone number: CHestnutHill 7-7970.

December 1962. The high point of all those great Cameo/Parkway performers from Philly: Chubby Checker, Bobby Rydell, Frankie Avalon, Fabian, Dee Dee Sharpe, The Orlons, AND Patti LaBelle and the Blue Belles!
