Show me your "Rattle Can" makeovers, From rusty but trusty to belle of the ball.

I'm looking for tips and tricks to clean up some boo boo's on my washer's finish. Show me your rattle can makeovers before and after photos. Products used. Sanding techniques, etc. Specifically washer cabinets painted with the acrylic, not porcelain. Rustproofing? Dent repair.

Do you think maybe these were painted for a stage show? Or do you think they belonged to Andrew?

I don't know what "possessed" someone to paint them like this, but they are the real deal and for sale on craigslist for $130 right now!

Powder coating?

I was shopping around for a place to repaint my alloy wheels and I came across an automotive place that does powder coating. 

Has anyone used this process to resurrect their appliances?  Would you do it again?  results -vs- cost?
