I might be able to help you out.....

I just had to do this to mine on Sunday since the pump had been slowing down considerably lately on the wash side and not the spin tub-therefore problem pinpointed.
However, it had reached a point in my last use prior to Sunday where it was not draining the last bit of water AT ALL.
There was about 2 inches left in the tub that had to be dealt with as well as the pump issue.
I made the decision to remove the drain hose at the PUMP instead of at the WASH TUB. Good choice!
No water ran out by gravity from the tub, just the miniscule amount in the hose itself. That meant it was indeed clogged at the bottom of the wash tub and not the pump inlet. Although the pump inlet from the wash tub hose did have quite a bit of scale build-up from years of sitting idle with that tiny amount of water that had been left in it slowly evaporating ever so slowly away as it sat and crusted up over the years. So I cleaned up the scale with a screwdriver and that was another good bit of maintenance dealt with.
So for the wash tub drain hose the only thing I could do was.....yep, I had to grasp that tube in the base of my hand and blow through my hand and into that hose. And it worked. I was able to blow up some build-up and lint and scale that had been building in there since before I stared using it I'm sure.
Not much water flowed out by gravity though, so another blow and that got it going and the water flowed right out freely. Even rinsed the tub out letting it gravity drain into a bowl so as not to flush a bunch of gunk back into the pump.
Put it all back together and the pump is working just fine on the wash tub side now too.
Hope that helps!

Now, as for my newest Simplicity issue since doing so.................
Oh, another thread for that.

P.S.-Some pics of your new toy soon?
